Composition:

Each tablet contains 400 mcg chromium (as chromium picolinate).

Chromium:

An essential mineral found in certain foods, Chromium Picolinate is the bioactive form of Chromium. Chromium Picolinate has been shown to cross biological membranes and to be assimilated by the body far more readily than other inorganic forms of Chromium. Chromium is so critical to good health due to its role in supporting the insulin sensitivity of the body's tissues. Insulin is vital for the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats. When Chromium levels drop, insulin resistance occurs and a wide range of negative health consequences are likely to ensue. Chromium Picolinate is a very well researched, extremely safe nutrient that is necessary for good health.

Warnings and Precautions:

§ Avoid a diet that is high in sugar. It may interfere with the effectiveness of chromium picolinate.

§ Avoid using antiacids without your healthcare provider's advice. 

§ Do not take chromium picolinate without the advice of a doctor if you are using: insulin or diabetes medications you take by mouth. Steroid medications like prednisolone and others. Nicotinic acid like niacin. Antiacids such as cimetidine, ranitidine. Proton-pump inhibitors such as esomeprazole, lansoprazole or omeprazole. Beta-blocker such as atenolol, metoprolol, propranolol and others. Aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

§ Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Dosage:

For adults take one tablet daily, preferably with a meal.
